Compact and stable
In having a width of 1.6 meters and a height of 1.97 meters (with cab), the GT5048 falls into the 2×2 meter class for compact telehandlers. Thanks to the four-wheel steering, the machine has a tight turning circle (inner radius of 1,200 mm) making it ideal to work in small spaces.
Depending on the choice of tyres, the machines have a width between 1.6 and 1.64 metres. Narrow buildings with low ceilings are no problem for the GIANT Tendo, with a height of just 1.9 meters, these can easily be used inside.
360° all-round visibility
The GIANT Tendo has been carefully designed to create a comfortable work environment for the operator. The steering column is fully adjustable and a mechanical suspension seat provides a spacious cabin for the user. Whilst using the joystick, the operator can rest his arm on an ergonomically shaped armrest. All key functions are close to the joystick so they can be easily operated. The safety roof and cabin are internationally ROPS/FOPS certified. All-round visibility gives the operator an excellent view on his work and allows safe and precise operation. The front window can even be equipped with a heavy-duty grille for extra protection.
Research & Development
The GT5048 is powered by a new and over 10% stronger Kubota diesel engine with 50 hp. To keep emissions to a minimum and to meet Stage V emission standards, it’s equipped with a catalytic converter (DOC) and a particulate filter (DPF). The new engine has a larger displacement and higher torque at a lower speed. This provides more pulling power at the bottom, gives a lower noise level and also increases the driving speed to 28 km / h. The telehandler has hydrostatic all-wheel drive with automotive steering through 8-ton axles and a heavy planetary final drive.
Maintenance
Performing maintenance to the GT5048 is quick & easy; the filters, hydraulic system and engine can be freely accessed via the easy-to open bonnet, tilting cab or other service panels. This ensures that daily checks and maintenance can be carried out quickly and in a safe manner.
